COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES

Your safety, and our teams safety is paramount. We are taking every precaution we can and have implemented a lot of changes at PLB;

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
It has been such strange and unknown times for everyone, but the main thing is that we are all in this together and doing all we can to ensure everyones safety by abiding to all rules and restrictions provided.
We hope each and every one of you has kept safe and well, and we want to let you know we have missed you all so much and cannot wait to see you and catch up.
We have missed being able to offer you the treatments that we know you love, and we are looking forward to seeing you all again when we re open on Monday 6th July.

Our priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening the salon we have implemented a number of changes which we would like to make you aware of. During the time the salon has been shut we have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control Course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists LTD, the UK trade body for our industry.
We have also completed and been certified for the salon in, Hand Hygiene, Professional Prevention of COVID-19 and Barbicide Courses.

Following this, we have since made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when we are able to open up again (and a new little salon revamp also.)

  • Our opening hours have changed - Monday-Friday 9am-9pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday for deep cleaning. Our team will be working in shifts to ensure that we do not have too many people in the salon at one time, and have little safe zones for everyone in the salon.

  • We will no longer be answering the salon phone during treatments. This is to ensure you get the best treatment possible with zero distractions. With this we ask for your patience when you ring and leave a voicemail - we promise to get back to you ASAP - this also stands with our social media messages also.

  • We are allocating longer appointment times and visits to ensure you are being well and truly looked after and ensuring you receive the highest standard of treatment - we also will be ensuring there is time before and after your appointment to ensure every single thing is sterilised.

  • If any of our team feel ill or have symptoms of COVID-19, they will self isolate immediately and not come into the salon until the appropriate time has passed and they have been checked. This may mean we have to cancel and reschedule your appointment at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety.

  • If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of COVID-19 - please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME INTO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. We have amended our booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any missed appointments. We do not mind at all if it is short notice, but this is something we have to stand firm on moving forward for everybody’s safety. The most important thing we can do is do everything in our power to ensure the safety of our clients and our team.
Please do not be offended if we ask you when booking if you have shown any symptoms of COVID-19. This is to protect everyone.

  • For your safety and to maintain social distancing , we ask that you attend your appointment as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving - we will ring you to let you know we are ready and waiting for you!

  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common surfaces, toilet door handles etc are wiped using disinfectant products between each client, but also every hour.

  • We have added acrylic protective screens to our nail stations, and also at our front desk to ensure everyones safety.

  • The layout of the salon has changed slightly to adhere to social distancing measures with regards to lash and brow treatments also.

  • When entering the salon there will be a hand washing station - we ask that you use this as soon as you enter.

  • For nail appointments we ask you to please wear a mask - we encourage you to bring your own, but if you do not have one then we will supply you one at a small cost of £2.

  • For lash&brow appointments we ask you to wear a mask and gloves - again we encourage you to bring your own mask, but again we can supply these for £2 if you do not have your own. There will be no charge for gloves.

  • We ask you to attend your appointment alone. We cannot have anyone who does not have an appointment in the salon - this also means unfortunately we cannot have children in the salon also - we are so sorry about this, but it is for everyone safety to ensure we are limiting the amount in the salon at one time.

  • We have had to increase our prices slightly on some nail and waxing treatments to allow for extra time and extra products that are required - we hope you understand. There has been no price increase on Lash Treatments or HD Brows and Henna Brows.

  • We do encourage you to book a couple of appointments in advance as we are limited to what we can now do in a day - we are more than happy to do this for you after your treatment to make sure you are getting the days and times you want in the future.

  • We will be contacting you 24hrs before your scheduled appointment to make sure you are feeling well, and to make you aware of what to expect at your appointment etc (PPE, extra time etc)

  • We will be sending consultation forms to fill out before your appointment.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued love and support these last few months - you guys have been so positive and loving with all your messages of support. We honestly can't thank you enough!

We cannot wait to see you all, and as always any questions please just let us know!

Lots of Love,

PLB xo
